Stringing Workshop 1 : Bracelet

35.00

Description
Are you curious as to how beaded jewelry is made? This class will show you the basics of how to attach a clasp to at least 3 different types of stringing materials. We will start with an overview of beaded jewelry, materials, hands on instruction, discussion and then it’s time to make your very own bracelet to take home.

Sue will provide the beads, materials, instruction and tools.  If you wish to bring your own beads, please be aware they may not work with our project.  Open Studio time may be a good fit for this.

In this class you will:

  • Learn the “rules” to what beads go with what stringing materials

  • Learn about different options for stringing beads including style and strength.

  • How to properly attach the string to a clasp

  • Brief look at measuring and design

  • Many tips and tricks to take home with you!

You will take home the beaded bracelet in your class and a shopping list to navigate a bead shop and get what you need to continue your beading journey.

The Teacher -  Sue Leveille
I've been making jewelry and teaching jewelry making for over 20 years.  Learning is an opportunity to open up and experience something new.  I create an environment that is relaxed, fun, compassionate and supportive because when you are learning in a positive environment -  you may find yourself seeking out more of that feeling or creating it yourself.  The jewelry becomes a token that creating positive change starts with a small step, made by you.
