Visible Mending for Beginners

Visible Mending is a practice in reclaiming broken clothing in a unique way. It embraces and broadcasts that it was broken and you chose to repair it rather than throw it away. It is a practice that is accessible to beginners even if they believe they are terrible at sewing. This class we will teach three basic stitches and many unique ways to repair your clothing. 

Please bring - 

Your own clothes with holes in them or clothes you wish to decorate with stitches.

We provide -

instruction, needle, thread, and cloth scraps to incorporate into your repair. 

Workshop schedule - 

1-3pm 

Mending for Beginners - ticket price of $25 includes mending materials and instruction - social mending hour included.

3-4pm 

Social mending hour - open to anyone as a pay if you feel called to so we can pay it forward to others in our community. This time is included in the $25 cost of Visible Mending for Beginners Workshop. 

Choose the Social Mending Hour ticket if you want to just come for the last hour. 

All ages that have the dexterity, ability to sit for a couple of hours and interest are welcome - suggested for 12+ but you are the best judge as the care giver.
