Supplies needed: Please bring along photocopies of texts—books, articles, advertisements, essays, etc.—with subject matter you are drawn to and which we will white-out, mark-up, or cut-and-paste to compose your Found Poems. If you are comfortable working on the originals of your texts, those are fine, too.
Description: FOUND POETRY is a form of writing in which we compose a poem from the words, phrases, fragments, and passages of an existing text—such as articles, essays, books, even advertisements. We erase, or black out, or cut up lines to create a wholly new work from what remains.
