About the event

Introduction to Cyanotype on Fabric - Sunday November 26th 1-4pm

Learn the process of Cyanotype Printmaking on fabric through a 3 hour hands on workshop.

Cyanotype Printing was developed originally as a photographic alternative process. The simplest type of cyanotypes are made by arranging objects on a treated surface and exposing them to UV light. This action creates a chemical change resulting in images made of silhouettes of the arranged objects.

Through this workshop, Jamie will guide you, step by step through the cyanotype process and no experience is necessary. You will learn the do’s and don’ts of applying this technique to fabric and leave the class with a sun-printed bandana of your own.

You will be working primarily with pressed flowers and all supplies and materials will be provided. If you have pressed flowers of your own, you are welcome to bring them but it is not necessary.

There will be a break built into the class to allow your pieces to dry. At this time refreshments and drinks will be provided.

$100 per person. This class is for students 18 years of age and older. Space is very limited. Please sign up using the link in my bio.
