About the event
It happens. Death, divorce, abrupt loss of one’s personal anchors in life. Grief may also manifest as a spiritual crisis, a loss of a belief or one’s purpose.
Welcome to the Land of Lost, a vast and lonely terrain, a desert of emotional and physical upheaval, a land where we strip away all that we thought kept us safe and where we begin to contemplate the immense internal arena of our very being.
We may continue to function on a level of habit; still going to work, continuing to smile and fake our way through interactions with others, taking care of our family, but grief has created a new species, a new aspect of ourselves has been born, something akin to growing a third arm or leg and we do not know what to do with it. What is its purpose? How do I learn to drag this heavy load?
Lost requires an incredibly difficult first step, that being we must come to understand and accept that we will never, ever be the same, and that is one of the most frightening concepts we will encounter while we are in human form. This is the beginning of the sacred journey - discovering life in the Land of Lost.
