About the event

This yoga class is for everyBODY, but especially designed for folks in larger bodies and anyone who may feel more comfortable in a body diverse space.  Even though the average American woman is a size 16, and the average American male wears a 40 in jeans  - we rarely see such body types in fitness or yoga spaces.  So... IT'S ABOUT DAMN TIME! 

This class may be for you if:

  • In the past, you’ve experienced a lot of overwhelming, critical self-talk when you’ve practiced yoga in groups.
  • If you struggle to make peace with your body and accept its physical form as is.
  • If you feel disconnected from your body because of years of trying to shrink, change, and alter yourself.

You can expect a 60-minute yoga class where we explore accessible adaptations of the classical yoga poses. Classes will be led at a slow and inclusive pace to allow for questions and experimenting with props. Class will conclude with breathwork and meditation, as these practices can be extremely beneficial for gently reconnecting with our bodies.  This class is for YOU.  Every BODY is a yoga body.

It's about damn time! See ya on Mondays at  Thick 30  I mean 6:30pm  at Give Rise Studio.
